When did your baby's hair start to curl?

i'm wondering if my baby's hair will curl, i hope it stays straight, she is 8 months old with hardly any hair and its still straight. i have slick straight hair and her father is mixed white/black/mexican and has very curly hair. when do baby's hair usually start taking on how it will always be?
